Resort General Manager  Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Resort General Manager to oversee the operations and management of our luxury resort. The Resort General Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue growth, managing staff, and maintaining the overall quality and reputation of the resort. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

The Work You May Do:

  • ensuring that each and every visitor receives excellent service
  • organizing advertising campaigns
  • establishing sales goals, creating budgets, and maintaining accounts
  • examining sales data and generating reports
  • hiring, educating, and managing employees; hosting and extending a warm welcome to visitors; handling grievances and other issues from clients
  • arranging for building upkeep and ensuring that the hotel complies with rules pertaining to licensing, health, safety, and security.
  • You would take care of the following tasks on your own:

cleaning,

food and beverage,

front desk,

restaurant,

banqueting, and

conferences.
For these many tasks, departmental managers would be in charge in a major hospitality industry.

  • Responsibilities of a Resort General Manager:
    • Oversee all aspects of resort operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and recreational facilities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, increase occupancy rates, and maximize profitability.
    • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by maintaining superior service standards and personalized guest experiences.
    • Lead and motivate a diverse team of resort staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
    • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with all departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
    • Develop and implement resort policies, procedures, and standard operating practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Implement and maintain health, safety, and security protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
    • Foster positive relationships with guests, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competition, and market conditions to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation

Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in resort management or similar leadership roles within the hospitality industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a luxury resort or hotel, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and revenue growth.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. – Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze financial data, develop budgets, and drive profitability.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with guests, staff, and stakeholders. – Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach to addressing challenges. – In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry regulations, best practices, and trends.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
